MySwitchAds causing site not to load
« on: October 26, 2014, 10:15:46 PM »

The website hasn't worked on Mac Firefox for several weeks. It hits the point where it starts loading ads from "delivery.myswitchads.com" and it hangs, not loading any more. Sometimes for thirty seconds, sometimes it doesn't load at all. Since these ads are on many pages including the forum, it's made the site mostly inaccessible. Is anyone else seeing this?

Thanks! This morning it's only a ten-second delay -- but it recurs wherever an ad tries to load, so on the Latest Comics page it stops twice. Guessing it's got something to do with the amount of traffic the ad server is dealing with.

I had this problem awhile back, though it didn't affect visiting this site it affected others.
The fix was found on youtube.
It required going to local services and manually switching one service from auto matic to manual.
Don't remember the details, the youtube video walked me through the process.
