I would really like to read 'War Picture Library' which were pocket style edition comics around the sixties and onwards. Mostly world war two stuff but that's where I learned all my German like 'Achtung ein Englander' and 'aach das ist ein Spitfeur' etc. There were also 'Battle Picture library' and 'Action Picture Library' editions too later on or reprints perhaps. Anyone has a clue thanks in advance.

These UK pocket libraries were originally published by Fleetway, now IPC. War,Air Ace & Battle Libraries are being reprinted in the UK by Prion (with 25% bigger page size than the originals) in bound 12 issue & 6 issue collections. These carry the imprint "Published under licence from DC Comics".
The DC Thomson & Co "Commando" war story pocket library comics are being reprinted in bound 12 issue collections with the same page size format as the above. These are published by the Carlton Publishing Group under its Carlton & SevenOaks imprints.
Not only are all the above a good read but each volume makes a effective door stop.

Nice one, oldtimer! ;)
The reprint collection of Rick Random was a bigger size than the originals also.
And it also makes a good doorstop/
Interestingly, despite the ads, not all the stories are drawn by Ron Turner as Bill Lacey's art is represented, and very nice it is too.
