That is one seriously bizarre Spirit story!

I think more people had a hand in the art here than are credited. Joe Kubert is credited as colourist on the Spirit story, but may have also had a hand in the art. The Bob Powell story doesn't look much like Powell, so if he penciled it, someone else inked it. I wish that Newspapers had inserts like this when I was readiing Newspaper comics.

Very clever – dusis is latin for dusk, twilight (also shower – anything falling suddenly in fact). This one is seriously weird – Will Eisner is the Dali of the comic book. But wait, if Dusis knew he was mad, doesn’t that make him sane? The two backup strips are also decent yarns – what a find this supplement is.
