The villain's name in the last story is "Al Hollings." I'm wondering if this was an in-joke re: Al Hollingsworth, who drew a number of stories for "Crime Mysteries" (but not this one, which was done by H.C. Kiefer).
Another weird coincidence (I guess): a character in this story is named "Loretta Blane." Actress Loretta Young had several sisters who also acted, and one went by the name of "Sally Blane." [Young was the family's real name.]
