A wonderful Golden Age Comic, but is, most unfortunately, marred by poor scanning. The text is completely unreadable in places and barely readable elsewhere. I suspect that this copy is a copy of a copy & then some; and not the fault of the scanner. Having said all that, we are lucky to have access to these old classics in whatever condition.

Well it's from a microfiche. Essentially, comics were photographed and those images reduced to fit on a small piece of celluloid, which one would then look at using a microfiche reader.

This was long before modern scanning technology. On CB+ many of those comics that haven't been scanned yet from original copies are represented using these fiche that were once sold to collectors back in the day. It's a temporary measure until such time as someone provides a proper scan. The fiche aren't great, but they're better than nothing.
