Today marks the fifty-eight anniversary of the debut of one of the great British characters - The Steel Claw.
Although all-but-forgotten in the UK, I believe he is still popular in India. Now those good guys at Rebellion hold the licence, we can hopefully look forward to a re-birth of the Claw in the near future:

He has already made an appearance in their ridiculously cheap Smash! summer special - definitely on my Christmas list:

Ah, but can we? Rebellion seem to have failed with The Vigilant. Is there enough interest in old British characters to attract a new, young audience? For you and me, yes, a great interest, but how many more, I wonder?
Sorry to be so pesimistic but it will come down to money and profit.
Actually, I haven't seen, or know where to buy that Smash special. I don't use Amazon or FP on principal. There's not a WHS near here and the wee local newsagent doesn't carry comics.

You can buy it direct from the 2000AD shop:

Mostly talking heads but some good imagery from Steel Claw, Inspector Prakash and others
