Title: Christmas Gifts
Post by: Andrew999 on October 12, 2020, 05:05:32 AM
Time to start planning for the annual consumer meltdown. Looking for something for a friend?

If like me, they can happily idle away a couple of hours on a jigsaw, this may be of interest:

I still think radio is the best medium for horror stories - the words act as a catalyst to an imagination already on the brink of madness.

Favourites from the past include Valentine Dyall (the Man in Black) and Vincent Price (The Price of Fear).

This looks like a promising edition - it's added to my bulging Christmas list:

A contribution that is partly not meant seriously.

Just like in spring, with the first Corona wave, Germans are now crazy about toilet paper again. There are inventory purchases and in many shopping centers no toilet paper is available again. So if you want to make a German a joy, give him toilet paper for Christmas.  ;D ;D

P.S.
My own supplies now last until February, but I'm not proud of it.  :-[ ;) ;D

Andrew, I just heard the trailer for the audio version of Children of The Stones.  R.4 or R.4 Extra.  I'm a fan of the tv serial and have the dvd and the book.  The complete serial is here:-

Spooky as all get out.
I'm not a big horror fan but love sf on the radio.

Thanks, Paw - I've not come across that before - I shall listen to it tonight.

Okay, I'm trying hard not to be greedy - but this has got to go on the list:

That Superhero Comic Book shower curtain is great!  I'd like one with: Cosmo Cat, Hoppy The Marvel Bunny, Marvel Mutt, Super Rabbit, Super Mutt, Super Pup, Super Mouse(The Big Cheese), Super Duck, Atomic Mouse, Zingo The Zooper Zebra, Wiggles The Wonderworm, Freddy Firefly, Superkatt, Superdog, Pussy Katnip, Stuporbear,  Kokey Koala, Super Fox, Atomic Rabbit, Atom The Cat, Donald Duck as "Super Snooper", Super Duper(The Worm of Tomorrow), Mighty Mouse,  Merton McSnurtle (The Terrific Whatzit), Superham (The Pig of Tomorrow), Dyno-Mouse, and Super Atomic Fox.

The sack is starting to feel a bit heavy now, but I couldn't resist this one:

I might wait until the collected edition

Ok - it's one of the ten things you need to find out about a girl (can I still call them that?) on that crucial first date - Pac-Man or Space Invaders?

A lot depends on the choice.

Here's something I need in my Christmas bag (stockings are too small these days, don't you think?)

Which one do you want?

COMIC BOOK HISTORY OF ANIMATION #1 (OF 5) CVR A DUNLAVEY

Yes, this looks very good, have read issue one. Quite detailed. Issue one takes us up to just before Disney comes up with Mickey Mouse.
A worthy series.

Cheers!

This throw blanket looks fun - but what a shame they've chosen Marvel's typically garish cluttered art.

I might be tempted if there was a classic British comics edition - or funny animals - even romance comics
