First story is pretty good with how it spans time and references the Cold War. The other stories are not so interesting and the setting barely plays any part, especially in the final and longest story, which seems like it might have been rejected from a then contemporary Charlton romance comic. Not much is made of the titular Inspector nor having Scotland Yard backing him up. I don’t recommend it as a good read and the art, while serviceable, isn’t very distinguished. I imagine any kid buying this one with his hard earned allowance back in the mid-50’s would have been disappointed.

That story is reprinted from Fox's pre-Code one shot, Spectacular Stories Magazine #4, featuring Sherlock Holmes. Even in the original Holmes had little to do--in one of the stories he simply narrated the captions of a generic crime story. He may as well have been "Stephen Hammish" for all the difference he made.
The Code made a bunch of changes. Illicit booze smuggling became fur smuggling and the crooks' language was softened throughout. They thoroughly overhauled the main villain's last-page demise as well as removing a couple of "AGGHHR!"s from balloons. One odd alteration: in the last panel on story page 7, the hood says, "Be a good idea if I sat down for a while inside this cafe and calm down." In the Charlton version he says, "Be a good idea if I sit down for a while inside this cafe and calmed down. I guess the editor didn't like the tense mismatch of sat/calm. But sit/calmed doesn't match either.
