Title: removing scan logos
Post by: chayes001 on February 05, 2016, 06:51:11 PM
Quite a few of the items that I've downloaded has a logo or watermark from Gorgon 776 as the first page. I appreciate his uploads but his addition prevents me from seeing the actual cover (which is part of the pleasure of comic books) and knowing which issue it actually is. Is there any way to remove this?[img]

Yes, it's just the first page (Gorgons scan) and they are pulps (Amazing Stories). I'd appreciate any help getting rid of that image. I'm not offended by the image it's just that in my library his image and not the front cover is visible so i have no idea which issue it actually is.
Thanks for any help.

You simply need to go into the zip file and change the name of the gorgon file to something that falls after the other files. In this case, change the gorgon from 000-000 to the letter b

My downloads aren't in .zip format, they're in .cbz. Is there a link to a .zip download?

The download link for the pulp does show the zip or compressed icon but I've downloaded 2 files today that range from 37.1 meg to 135 meg.

you need to change the file format from cbz to zip, rename the file, then change the file format back to cbz
