Title: Henry Aldrich is really in public domain?

The franchise of the Henry Aldrich Family is in public domain? I mean... I can use this story without have any legal issues? Even if I create my own version of it?

I have been trying to find an answer but since it has a television show, movies, radio stories and etc... I'm afraid to use it.
