Title: Question on large downloads

I understand that my dsl downloading may poop out in the middle of a large file.  Is there anyway that a 'resume' option could be added to the site?  I know at AIBQ and megaupload, I can resume downloading from where the previous attempt died.  On this site I have to start from the beginning again.
Not a technical hound, so I hope I'm getting the question right.
