Title: India Backs Comics in the Classroom
Post by: Andrew999 on March 26, 2021, 09:03:35 AM
Excellent Government initiative from India:

The books cover the area that we used to call PSHE in the UK (Personal, Social and Health Education) but could easily spread to other areas.

Sadly, when I tried to access the comic books on diksha (the Indian Government website), it said 'website not working'

Maybe the website is set up only to be accessed by web addresses located inside India, unless Indian students who will go abroad can also get a special pin code to allow them outside system access.  Maybe that is used to avoid outsiders, spammers, etc. from overburdening a system that will already have many millions of users from Indian students, alone?

A good point - but the website does appear to be up and running now. To access the comics, it seems you have to be registered as a teacher. I can't see there's a problem in registering from outside India though - so I might give it a go later.

Must take the dog out for a walk now - she's starting chewing my foot - it's a sign
