Title: Hello from me
Post by: roddyb1955 on August 17, 2022, 11:44:30 AM
roddyb1955 from the UK. The 1955 is a bit of a give-away as to my age. However, I think I was born at a great time for comics. Eagle - of course. Look and Learn - not a favourite. DC and Marvel comics could be had at the newsagents on the corner of the main street, so when my uncle John gave me 2 shillings on a Friday night...well, which should I choose? I can still remember working my way through a pile of comics at the back of the shop looking for something special. I still have my DC and Marvel comics from the 60s.
Sci fi fan. Dr Who was a favourite from the very first episode.
I can still remember creeping downstairs to put the TV on to watch Quatermass 2 and later The Year of the Sex Olympics with the sound turned right down!
There is so much here....

By that list, you will fit right in here!
I am obviously Australian but I too remember 'Look and Learn' and 'Eagle'. We also had Marvel and DC, but 'my Dr Who was Patrick Troughton.   Welcome, Join in, feel free to comment and enjoy the goodies!

Cheers!

'Splendid chap, all of them!'
I had the great pleasure of being in the Scottish Play at Liverpool Playhouse with Brian Miller (Mr Liz Sladen) and quite a few other actors who had been in Dr Who at various times. Happy days!
