Hello everyone, I am a publisher of old comics in France and my question is CAPTAIN ATOM and BLUE BEETLE are free of rights? I'm talking about the ones from Charlton comics. I'm going to produce all the stories. So before I make a mistake that could cause me problems with DC...

I'm pretty sure the issues themselves are in the public domain, but the names and the characters are under DC copyright.

I'm not an expert so I'd wait for somebody more informed on the matter.

Thank you for your reply. But it doesn't tell me whether or not I can produce under a name other than Blue Beetle?

I don't think any of us here are lawyers so asking us for legal advice is... questionable.

If you want a legal answer you should probably hire a lawyer familiar with copyright law.
