Marvel Comics has killed off 'The Punisher' character ... because they were concerned he had become an icon for conservatives!!
The mainstream has now taken intolerance of political differences to a whole new levell...kill oof your character because you dislike differences of opinion.

Marvel Comics has killed off 'The Punisher' character
Recently there seemed to be a compromise that we'd leave off political pamphleteering on CB+. I'm doing my best to comply and it'd be nice to see others do the same. There are plenty of places--way too many--online for outraged whining, n'est ce pas?

Marvel comics has also just killed off the Ms Marvel character - as she is hardly a conservative icon, I'm curious as to what the motivation might be.
In other news, apparently Supergirl is a now a gay character and in the first issue of a series featuring Clark Kent and Lex Luthor as teenagers, teenage Clark leaves Smallville after saying goodbye to his Black Parents.
This is a statement, conveying information, not a political viewpoint. Make of the information what you will.
Cheers!

Oui, M. Crash. T'as raison.
I dislike all this footering about with origins.. if creators can't think of anything original to do with a character, apart from changing their orientation, background, established origin, create a new character, please. Then you can make of them what you want.
Luther was a boy in a shed and Superboy accidentally blew his hair off when trying to put out a fire. Luther nowadays is ridiculous and I can't stand him.
Well, that fair cheered me up. A good rant does satisfy.
