Title: Printing
Post by: philS on May 15, 2008, 07:07:12 PM
Excuse my lack of technological savoir faire, but is it possible to print the downloads?
The downloads are great, but would be much easier (and more convenient) to read on paper than on a screen.

You probably can't print directly from a comic viewer, but the files are almost all renamed ZIP and RAR archives of JPEG image files.

That sounds like a lot of useless jargon, but it boils down to your being able to chop up the files however you like, including pulling the pages into Word or another application to print them however you like.  If you can "unzip" a file and know how to print a picture or two, you're there.

Thanks for the advice! How do I go about unzipping a file and transferring it into a printable format? If I try to save in Word I get a message that there is insufficient space.

On Windows, you can download one of WinZip (the standard, but has a nag screen), IZArc, FilZip, or any of a bunch others.  Then...well, it's probably best to follow the directions, but when you open the file with the program, you'll get a list of files inside.  Those files, you can save ("extract," probably) and Word will happily eat, using (c'mon...startup...) Insert/Picture/From File...

Or you can use Microsoft Paint (or any graphics program).  Open and print them one at a time.
