Title: Print quality scans?
Post by: OrkneyDullard on August 24, 2012, 02:29:41 PM
Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of writing a book on unusual marks of punctuation - you can see the sort of stuff I've done already at http://shadycharacters.co.uk (http://shadycharacters.co.uk).

I'd like to be able to reproduce a panel from page 3 of Planet Comics #73 (1953, https://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=18802 (https://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=18802)), specifically the first panel of the story itself. The double hyphen (--) used as a dash is peculiar to comic book lettering, and it'd be great to be able to use this as an example.

Unfortunately, the 150dpi scans available through CBP are too low-res to print. Is there any way to obtain a higher quality scan? This particular issue is attributed to Comic Book+, so I'm not sure whom to ask about this.

Thanks,
Keith
