I used to have a link to a site that told the origins of famous and obscure GA heroes in paragraph form, but I've lost it. I'm specifically interested in a hero who was shipwrecked on a desert island where he found Mt Olympus and climbed it to meet a Tibetan monk who gave him an Egyptian amulet with the powers of the Greek gods ... or something convoluted and cross-pantheoned like that. Can anyone supply the link, or at least the hero's name? I need it for my blog http://storiesaresignposts.blogspot.com/

I have never ran across such a character, but I am highly interested in seeing a story or two -- what a mix of story elements!
