Title: Any volunteers............... ?
Post by: Ajnaabi on June 03, 2014, 06:25:02 PM
There are so many Cool GA comics in other Languages in CB+ that I would love to read & reread for myself.
But I can understand them a with BIIIIIIIIIG Zero.

There are many fans who works in various Scanlation projects with other comics.

Any volunteers in CB+ who might love to do Such volunteering works in Scanlating Golden Age PD Comics to English, specially those Spanish Books ?

It would be cool, and also might be something new around........

Just an Idea...

Ah well, you see Ajnaabi, some of us can read those pesky foreign languages.  I'm fine reading French and Italian and I can make headway through most of the Spanish comics where the vocabulary is reasonably simple.  I can even manage American ;) .  There have been a few scanlations posted - just can't remember where they are.
I'm curious to see if you get any volunteers as it's way beyond me, technically.  Nice suggestion.

Yeah Paw,
It would be nice if someone try it.
I am helpless here too.
But if someone translates the scripts, i may be able to help in Photoshop, say one book in a blue moon. :)

I've done English versions of four Italian comics which are on the site: the first and second issues of "Plutos:"

https://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=39433 (https://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=39433)

The first issue of "La Dama di Picche" (The Queen of Spades):

And a random issue, #7, of "Frisco Bill" (the latter uploaded by Mr Goldenage)

I like doing these translations but it's a lot of work and I don't often have the time.

If I knew Spanish I would do a lot more but I have to use Google translate and it takes a whole lot of work.  So there is not enough for a main thread yet

yeah naaf, I understand there are only a few of them, but i think that such a head might encourage others to attempt for more new such scanlation projects ....

As for Google translate's (Spanish to English)........... LOL... tons of hilarious jokes regarding it on the net...

since I was using google translate from Spanish to English, with pictures, I had an idea of what was meant. Check out my scanilation and see how well I did.

I might try to translate French books to English, but as I already have a good amount of work with my own projects, don't hold your breath. I really intend to contribute to the site, though.
