Hi,

Not going to be adamant, but the final page noted that that Dwight D. Eisenhower had
JUST become President.

Ike was elected in 1952 and inaugerated in January of 1953, so I assumed the book was published in the Spring or Summer of 1953.

Could be even a little earlier as the text says that Ike had just been "chosen" president not that he had "become" president.  The work on the comic may have been finished in late 1952 or early 1953 before the inauguration.
Also interesting that there is no mention of the Korean War which would have still been ongoing when the book came out.

Really not that surprising That The Korean War was not mentioned. It was not going well and you'll note on the last page that it was distributed by the US Information Service, so as an official govt propaganda publication, nothing that could be seen as negative (at the time) was going to be published by/for the govt.
