Hello all, and a Happy New Year!

I found out about your GAC site via a fellow columnist at Forces Of Geek, Steven Ahlquist, we both write columns there, and I saw he had you as one of his fave web sites for 2010.

Looking forward to actually being able to read some of the rare titles I can never afford.

Thanks for this!
- Robert Jaz

Just wondering how everyone came to find Golden Age Comic download website or support forum?

Tell us how you found us, give us your story...

Several free are available. We have our own coming up soon. I think most people use CDisplay. Or you can change the estensions from cbz to zip or cbr to rar and open with uncompression program

I followed the recommended links this site provided and was was put through an invasive personal information survey.. asked to sign up for a free phone which i do not need and required to sign up for a 19.95 charge to my phone for other items i do not need. Obviously I did NOT proceed.. I assume there is way to view your material without all the scams attached !!! The Digital Comic museum is a lot more user friendly

Sir, I encourage you to visit your local library and sign up for classes on how to use the internet. For your own safety online, I further implore you to not touch a computer until you have been educated on the proper uses of such.

Hiya,

I found out about this site from an ebook by Chris Graham, I am so looking forward to getting stuck in and maybe finding some old British classics!

Wish me luck.

Welcome Boyceybabe. You have been set up to download. British copyright makes it really difficult to get anything because you have to know 100 years after the death of the artist and writer. We do have a few enjoy.

I heard it was +70 years, narf.
I don't want to mislead folks who ask, so where is the 100 year rule stated?

I was going off the top of my head. I had thought it was 100 in UK. Seventy is probably right.

Hi there-
I am new to the board. I found this board by trying to discover some early Jack Kirby work. This looks like a fantastic place to read some books that will otherwise be unavailable to me.

Hi, all!

I landed here after landing by chance of illustrator Lew Stringer's blog....he has a lot of British comics stuff, and I spent all evening there, on a trip down Memory Lane.

Take care!

Baz.

As I related in the thread http://goldenagecomics.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,2928.0.html , I found this site when researching the old original Daredevil.  I think the exact link to this site was on the Daredevil entry on Wikipedia.

The comic book writer/artist Erik Larsen (of Savage Dragon fame) mentioned it when someone asked about where to find classic Captain Marvel stories in the forums of savagedragon.com

Also, he's been using the Golden Age Daredevil character in recent issues Savage Dragon so this got me interested in that character, and I've been interested in Captain Marvel much longer.
