Hello John,
Welcome to CB+.  Someone else who's interested in British storypapers?  You'll find a few in the UK section but to all intents and purposes, we can host almost nothing of D.C. Thomson.  Copyright laws differ in different countries, so we tread with care.  That said, there are still some lovely early Nelson Lee, Union Jack, Magnet, Dime Novels etc. in the Dime novel section.
If you don't already know of it, this site:-

http://www.comicsuk.co.uk/Forum/index.php

is an excellent talking shop for British comics and storypapers and you will pick up some good links from it to sites with illustrated histories of old British comics.

Look forward to reading more from you on the forum here.

A simple Google search. :( I used to have an account though to the old goldenagecomics.co.uk site. I wonder why it's even still up. I had lost my password, so I was sad for a long time until I found this site.

This site "was" GAC. The name no longer fit our more far reaching vision so Mark morphed it into CB+

Hello Gunsmoke - nice nickname, especially as it's one of my favourite western titles.  Enjoy the comics.

Last January I was searching for Plastic Man with Google wondering if I could read that legendary comic online.  To my great delight I found both Golden Age Comics and Digital Comic Museum:  it was like suddenly discovering two overflowing treasure chests.  There was a glitch though with GAC:  when I tried to read something I kept getting "loading" on the screen (except for once or twice - as I recall I was able to read some Scribbly).  Once when I got "loading" on the screen I left the computer for a few hours and when I came back it still said "loading".  So I sort of drifted away from the site.  Then after a couple months or so I tried out the site again and discovered Comic Book Plus and it was something like going from black & white to color:  a delightfully expansive renovation - an already great site made even greater and funner and now I was able to easily read everything and found the software/arrangement more flowing and appealing than DCM.  My challenge is time.  I happened to find a rare opening in time so I'm able to write this intro.  I have been finding time, though, to visit CBP and DCM every day or two or three:  I usually check out the latest additions, the Random 12, and maybe turn a few pages here and there.  I'm a natural comics lover and I've also found reading these early era comics to be of value for the study of consciousness that I'm involved in.

Yes Cozplay the old GAC did not have a very practical online viewer. CB+ does. You seem to be using the features of the site as Mark had hoped. Keep enjoying.

Thanks for the really nice comments. Whilst I am the coder in the bunch it really is very much a team effort, plus I am just building on what was already in place.

I do however live off praise (and beer), so nice comments make it all worthwhile. BTW there are a whole lot of new things being developed that will add a lot more fun and also I think be really used by members.

Hi! I'm Oscar Pena- I'm an artist looking to write, sketch and ink a western comic for Twilight Star Studios. Doing research on old western comics I came upon your web page. And am looking forward to becomeing a regular here. Thank you very much, already I have found much inspiration. I'm 44 years of age, and growing up in Texas and my dad being a farmer, we spent many days looking at shows like, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Big Valley, Paladin ect.. I think the western shows and movies could see another rise as well as comics.

We are very glad you have joined us. We have plenty of westerns for you to enjoy. I have noticed that westerns become more popular  as you age. I do not know why that is but seems to occur naturally.

Hi!  This is such a fabulous site, and I found you thanks to the post on Facebook by Project Gutenberg(spelling?) yesterday.  There is such a wonderful wealth of comic book history here, and I can't wait to dive in.  Thanks!

Good to have you here,  MrMarksdaddy .  Enjoy the comics - there's all sorts of odd, obscure and just plain entertaining stuff.  Have a dig around and sample some of it.  Looking forward to your forum contributions.

This site is just unreal... what a gold mine!

I am starting a new blog focused on comic book readers and found CB+ - I have loved the transition to digital and don't miss print. I am really starting to get into the history of the medium and appreciate it more each day.

First thing I started in on was Judo Joe... many more to come - Thanks!

I found you quite some time ago. I actually was a member with you when you were Golden Age Comics. I just hasn't been back to your site due to much happening in my life. Now things are seeming to calm down I now have more time to kick back. When you were Golden Age Comics I found you because I had a pretty large comic book collection and I was surfing the web looking for sites that could help me to evaluate them so I could sell them.
