For those who don't know, I'm a contributing writer to AC Comics'
Femforce series. I have a backup feature called "Rowena" about a gentle giantess in a slightly skewed medieval fantasy world.
I wanted to spread the word that
Femforce #150 is now available. This is a major milestone for the series, making it the longest running all-female superhero team book (it's been published since the 1980s). If you aren't familiar with it,
Femforce is a series that would appeal to Golden Age fans. Many of its characters are revived Golden Age heroes (Miss Victory) or inspired by Golden Age heroes (She-Cat and Nightveil are based on the original Black Cat and the Fox Comics version of Phantom Lady). The series is drawn in a classic "good girl art" style. This issue the book switches to a new double-length graphic novel format for a battle between the Femforce, an army of AC heroes (many with ties to the Golden Age as well), and the Lovecraftian Old Dark Ones.
The other half of the book is AC's campy and fun sci-fi/fantasy/giant women series,
Gargantarama (Strong, powerful women are AC's bread and butter, which led to giantess heroines becoming popular at the company). There are 14 pages of my Rowena series, focusing on her wedding her tiny human love, Cedric, which doesn't sit well with her gigantic (and in some cases maneating) relatives!
Gargantarama also features Rock Baker's World War II era heroine, Dinosaur Girl, another feature that will appeal to Golden Age fans.
I'm quite thrilled to be part of such a historic issue so I hope people will check it out!
