Looking for a story
« on: January 16, 2010, 09:18:17 PM »

I'm looking for a horror/sci-fi story that my mom remembers reading when she was a kid (so it's likely Silver Age). It was a Twilight Zone-type series, and it featured a monstrous carousel, and the animals on it came to life and started rampaging through the town. That's all she remembers.

Any of you guys know what I'm talking about?

I seem to remember a Strange Adventures cover of that type.  Or was it Tales/Unexpected?  I'll look through some stuff.

Is that issue among those on the downloads page?

I'd vaguely remembered a story that fit the description in a comic from the 60's, possibly a reprinting of the story from an earlier comic.

"Strange Adventures" was a Silver Age DC title, so no, it's not something you're likely to find here.

I looked up the issue, it was mid 60's so I probably read it then.
I'd thought it might have been reprinted from an earlier Golden Age comic.
