Star Comics
« on: March 03, 2010, 09:14:29 PM »

While putting together my spreadsheet and doing some reading, I noticed that Star Comics is both in Centaur Comics and Henry A Chesler Comics.  Can someone help walk me through this, as it appears both may be correct?

This is something that applies to both the "Star Comics" and "Star Ranger" titles.

The first 6 issues of each were produced by Chesler Publications.  The titles were then published by Ultem Publications until issue 9, although Chesler and his crew were still producing the material within the books.  Centaur Publications was the publisher of both books starting with issue 10.

Thanks!  That's rather fascinating, actually.

"Centaur Comics" does have an interesting history, problem is that most of that history happened over 70 years ago, and back then, nobody cared to take note of what was happening & why.  There was no internet or comic magazines to keep fans up-to-date with the behind-the-scenes goings-on.
