Ok,another question in my search for comic history titbits :)

Who was the first publisher after "DC Comics" to put out a regular (or even one-shot) comprised of all original material and not reprints or comic strips.

"The Comics Magazine # 1"  cover date May 1936, from The Comics Magazine Company?  Not seeing some of the other books that were available before that, it's my best guess.
