I see the stats for a book and the views are always way more than the downloads. Of course we limit our downloads not our views. But there are also those who don't want to download anyway. School is back in session. I saw a student that I gave our site address to last year. He said that when he is home our site is all he does. When he is in his room his mom will ask what he is doing and his response is usually that he is reading comics. He told me that he does not download them he just reads them and he reads a lot of them. I am sure there are many others that see no need in clogging up their hard drives when they can read from our cloud.

I spend a lot more time on my laptop than I spend on my desktop. But my desktop has a lot more memory. So if I want to download a comic from CB+, I download it to my desktop. If I want to read the same comic, I usually read it off the CB+ site on my laptop. I'm happy that I can do both.

YEAH!!!  I'm still getting over the shock of NOT having to go to the confusing trouble of downloading.  The downloads NEVER used to work right for me. Now they work fine, and I don't have to do 'em.  Plus, it's much easier to read the pages online, as they come up at such a big size.  My viewing programs, I'd probably have to zoom in on each individual page.

I use the reader on here & DCM infinitely more than I download from either site, and way more than I used GAC before any site had an online reader. Downloading is just such a hassle, especially when you don't know for sure if you will like the comic in question (and especially on GAC, with that horribly broken limit system). In contrast, I can start reading immediately with the reader, just around to check out the comic without having to wait for the entire thing to download first, can easily just read the "good parts" of several comics (ie, if I'm after all the "bob the cat" strips in some anthology comic, I don't have to download 20 full comics when I only want 7~8 pages from each).

I think this is an encouraging trend. If we could just promote this concept upwards somehow, to the more mobile reader. To show that this is good casual reading and when time permits to add what they have, if anything, when they can, and if nothing else at least comment on what they saw or what they think. Just my mind tinkering away................back to dreamland
