Outstanding comic, great quality, and very modernistic art for its time! |
|
This is a coverless copy of the comic book Out of This World #1 that was included with the pulp magazine Out of This World Adventures #1. |
|
Hidden Gem 2 Joe Kubert Stories, one by Henry Kuttner and Crom the Barbarian by Gardner Fox and John Guinta. However most of the work listed is missing. |

Avon did a lot of great science-fiction one-shots, and this is definitely one of them. The entire issue of OUT OF THIS WORLD No. 1 was included (except the original covers) as a kind of bonus insert in the otherwise-prose science-fiction pulp mag, OUT OF THIS WORLD ADVENTURES No. 1 (note the slight variation on the comic book one-shot's title). The other stories listed below from GCD aren't missing, they're the regular science fiction (text) stories found in the FULL version of the sf magazine (also uploaded here), so go back to the listing and look for that.
Other notable Avon sf one-shots to look for include:
ATTACK ON PLANET MARS,
AN EARTH MAN ON VENUS,
FLYING SAUCERS,
ROBOTMEN OF THE LOST PLANET, and
ROCKET TO THE MOON |
