OK grab bag. The Joy Family, a Blondie & Dagwood knockoff, is actually kind of funny. One Round Hogan, a Joe Palooka knockoff, isn't badly drawn. Rick Evans is no Buck Rogers.

SynopsisCuthbert wants to enjoy a 3-day weekend, but his wife Judy insists that he take her and their two children on a picnic. After being chased out of his golf club, Cuthbert accepts Bingle's offer to picnic at his country house. The caretaker scares them off with tales of hordes of insects, but Cuthbert discovers the man is just covering up a card game. Cuthbert drops his family off at a nearby farm and returns to play cards.

To cap things off, Cecil sits in an antique chair Judy bought Cuthbert for his birthday and breaks it. It'll cost $50 for Cuthbert to have a replacement chair made.

SynopsisWhen the Gainsboro baby is kidnaped, the criminals think private detective Dick is on the case, so they abduct him as well. Louis the Dip is caring for the child, and he and Dick team up to foil the kidnaping. Dick gets the reward and Louis is pardoned, so he can open his own shop selling children's clothing.

When they arrive, the trio is captured by Serpo, who already has Dr. Gale prisoner. Rick and the others escape, taking with them a snake whose venom will cure the sick man.

SynopsisHogan, who should be training for his bout with Frisco, is pining for Lillian, a young woman he rescued in a previous story. She's now attending an exclusive girl's school. Hogan's manager Spigot is kidnaped. Lillian, realising she's a distraction, sends Hogan a telegram indicating she's running away. Hogan is losing the fight to Frisco when Lillian shows up at ringside and says she loves him. Hogan knocks out his opponent and Spigot appears, safe and sound.
