This is good solid golden age superhero stuff: the sort of thing that got me into comics in the first place. A great read! |
|
I don't remember this comic book be cause I used to get an allowance of five cents a day that meant I could only spend 10 cents a comic instead 15 cents . I remember CAPT MARVEL ...sam v fox |

A great Captain Marvel story to mark the debut of a new comic. The Ghost of the Deep is a good menace for Cap to overcome, with some real suspense when he captures Billy and drags him underwater. Even if his "mystery identity" is pretty obvious. |

Captain Marvel is great. He & his family were my heroes back in the day. I used to sit in the grocery store window reading the comics til the owner got a chance to chase me home. There was another store that sold comics with no covers at half-price. those were the days of yesteryear. |

Ulp!.....15 cents must have been a kings' ransom back in the WWII era !
I know it cramped my comic book budget when comics went from 12 cents to 15 cents then 20 cents back in the 1970s ! |

Thoroughly enjoyed this classic group of stories. We need more patriotism in our reading materials today. Thanks for downloading these fantastic adventures. |

I love this comic. Thanks for share! |

"Solve America's invasion problem" is such a weird way of saying "prevent America from mounting an invasion". It wasn't until the next scene that I realized he wasn't planning on doing something evil in the misguided belief that he was protecting America from invasion. |
