| Like the previous comment, I'm a fan of Munson Paddock as well, but here's one the previous fan didn't pick up on . Apparently Munson Paddock was actually Cecilia Munson Paddock, perhaps the earliest female comic book artist. It's hard to find out much about her. | The Green Mask strip is the first time I've seen Walter Frehm demonstrate the effects of having worked as Will Gould's assistant on "Red Barry." Our page 27 shows a particularly strong Gould influence. |

| Munson Paddock was not a woman. The Oct. 2015 comment is incorrect. Leroy Munson Paddock was his name. I believe Trina Robbins made this error and it has been repeated from time to time. |
