| Notes | Bob Wood takes jabs at Jerry Robinson and George Roussos in two small newspaper headlines: "JERRY ROBINSON, FAMOUS ETCHER, FINISHES FIRST JOB IN 3 YEARS" and "INKY ROUSSOS FINALLY MEETS DEADLINE - ENTIRE PUBLISHING WORLD AMAZED – POPULAR YOUNG CARTOONIST ENROUTE TO SARANAC..." This has been observed elsewhere as looking very much like a Batman story of this vintage. The letters look like those Roussos was doing on the Batman strip, which might account for the playful jibe noted above. It is, however, difficult to see any evidence of possible Robinson input. |
