This is sublime right down to the colors. The compositions and story telling are exciting. I used to love this sort of style in the early 90s so it's fun seeing that it actually dates back so long.

There are just 4 books available in this prehistoric series. Good exciting tales concerning a Tarzan like man battling for survival. The first in the series, One Million Years B.C. is different and is supposed to be non fiction. These are all good, nice art and some excellent coloration. Viewers have rated each book with 10 (as good as it gets). Well worth a look.

Definitely getting a Conan vibe from this one. He's a much better diplomat than Conan ever was, though.

The apologia on page 17 has to be unique in mainstream comics.

One Million Years B.C. is supposed to be NON-Fiction!!! With dinosaurs, flying reptiles and marine reptiles from The Cretaceous and even The Jurassic Periods living ONLY one million years ago, with MODERN, clean shaven, Humans??? 100% true stories? Not even the names have been changed to protect the innocent? That's absolutely the same level of Fantasy as "Tor" is. The Scientific primer with cartoon facsimile figures of Maurer and Kubert, explaining how such a situation COULD have happened, with species that we KNOW all died out during The Great Mass Extinction 65 million years ago surviving, and "Modern Humans, living as far back as a million years ago (going against all recent scientific findings), gave me a good laugh. I'm glad MY editors never stuck such an impossible job in my lap. Why not go with the typical fantasy style, rather than point the readers' attention on the fact that you're trying to "snow them"?

I don't find that page 17 amusing, to me it's just sad, I mean the first two panels in particular. It's always painful to see the artists having to explain themselves and their art when attacked by religious zealots, doesn't matter young or old. Whenever and wherever there's such need, it's a clear sign the society isn't free, their minds aren't free. Believe me boys and girls when I say this: religion is by far the worst invention of humanity. All that left aside, god/dino damn it, what a finely drawn comic book!
