Putting aside Chop Chop; this is a great issue. Also, the first appearance of the real Lady Blackhawk so massive respect for that. |

No way the "Blonde Bomber" is a solo Crandall job. Just compare the faces and figures to Crandall work in the previous issues. Reed may have done layouts or some pencilling, but the story's mostly someone else's work. |

I in no way endorse or defend the odious racial stereotyping this comic is rife with; it is an unfortunate artifact of its era in that regard. That aside, the comic is lively and well-drawn, and the Blackhawk story is especially strong. |
