"The Little Wanderer" is perhaps the best Captain Atom story of all. It captured my sense of wonder when I was a kid and I still love the story.

I agree completely. It was stories like this that made Captain Atom such a magical character. Something was lost when Charlton gave him the big "standard superhero" treatment. And the less said about DC's version, the better!
