NotesReprinted from Fawcett's Master Comics #113, but with changes required to get the story past the Comics Code Authority censors. The changes are both textual and visual, and although they exist throughout the story, two panels on page five exemplify what happened. Nyoka has been captured by two evil tribesmen. In the Fawcett original she regains consciousness lying face down over a log, her hands tied behind her back, with a native standing over her holding a very large-bladed axe. The leader says, "Now you kill so no can tell Noma truth. Need him to lead warriors or lose power." In the next panel the other tribesman had hoisted the axe and shouts, "Me kill right now!" Poor Nyoka is only saved when the leader sees other approaching, and shouts, "Wait! Noma returning with warriors! No can kill now! If he see her he ask questions! We hide her and kill later!" In the Charlton version the log has disappeared as well as the axe, and Nyoka has been redrawn sitting on the ground with her hands tied behind her. The leader now says, ""Now you no can tell Noma truth. Need him to lead warriors or lose power." In the next panel the axe is also missing, the henchman is now standing with his hands on his hips, and the leader says, "Wait! Noma returning with warriors! If Noma see her he ask questions! We hide her quickly!"
