Anyone know when this was published? Some of the slang ("Hey, Man") sound 1960s but others ("Dude") sound more 1980s. The art style looks older than that, though.

The fine print on the final page has a 1979 in it, which would date it close to what you were noticing about the slang. Still, what a very strange comic. I guess it is an US Army booklet to help identify Eastern Bloc guns and vehicles, but at first I took it as reading like it was done in 1942-5 when the US and USSR were allies.

Crashryan --"Dude" was used quite a bit during the 60s in the L.A area: I used it a lot even in elementary school circa 1963 !

Will Eisner would have done it better. But by that time he was too busy with his own personal pet projects.
