At least 4 pages missing, the last page of "Squat Car Squad," the first page of "How to Make a Machine Gun," and the whole story "Bumbling the Bee" (2 pgs). Also it's interesting to note that two of these features (Tubby Pig and Squat Car Squad) were Marvel/Timely comic strips. Both strips contain material that indicates they were done during World War II and were probably sold to Charlton as excess inventory, seeing print in December 1946. |

Notes | Given the presence of several Timely comic strips in this issue, I wonder if the cover is also a Timely "left-over" from Krazy Krow Comics? |

Notes | This story mentions a "Black Market" which was a wartime concept (due to rationing). The fact that this appears in a comic dated December 1946 suggests it was left-over inventory, probably from Timely/Marvel comics, where the character had also appeared. |

Notes | The artwork here has a considerably finer line than Beck's mid-'40s work on Chesler titles, many of which were inked by Otto Eppers. Bails credits Beck with both pen/ink on this feature.
The reference to "Super Rabbit" and a "Buy Bonds" sign in one panel suggest (a) this was originally intended for Timely/Marvel ("Squat Car Squad" appeared in Joker and Gay Comics for that publisher), and (b) that it is old inventory (left over from war-time). |
