Just when I think I have found most things of interest to me on this site, I look at the Random 12 link ( Which I give 10 out of 10!) and find out that it ain't so! So here we have two Tarpe Mills stories and two illustrated by Carl Pfeufer. Good Value. But it's the Hydroman story that interests me. This, along with Submariner was a Bill Everett character. Supposedly this story was illustrated by Ben Thompson but the title character's faces all have the characteristic Everett squint. I wonder, did Everett do the faces on the Hydroman panels or was Ben Thompson being sarcastic?
Cheers! |
