| "Beyond the Call of Duty" was a great surprise to me. If Frank Frazetta hadn't signed it I wouldn't have recognised it as his work. By contrast, "Memorable Memorial Day" is classic Frazetta - extremely well-drawn, especially the men's faces, which are reminiscent of Hal Foster's style. |

| 'Beyond the Call of Duty' looks more like Frank Miller than Frazetta. Frazetta was obviously trying for a very gritty look for the story. It works and It's actually very impressive. |

| I wonder if Frazetta was trying to emulate Jack Davis on Beyond The Call Of Duty? Some of it seems to have a Davis quality. |

| Scrounge, Funny you should reference Jack Davis. I was also thinking some of it has a John Severin look, and Severin and Davis worked together back then.
