Dr. Mortal shrinks humans just like in the Paramount movie DR. CYCLOPS. It might be a coincidence, however. The release date of DR. CYCLOPS was April 12, 1940; the on-sale date for this issue of WEIRD COMICS was June 15, 1940. Was two months enough time to produce the comic in those days? |
|
Dr. Barmell was shrinking people to doll size in Amazing Man Comics #5 cover dated September 1939. So something about the idea of shrinking people must have been floating about pop culture of the time. |
