With all the science and editor's notes, the first tale truly has the feel of a Julie Schwartz-edited comic. This tale, with very few changes, could almost be a "Space Museum" story. |
Powell's art is wonderful, funny and filled with energy. Even the science-fact backup story is interesting. And cavecarson is right, it could almost be a Space Museum story, though it's a bit more lighthearted. |
Analogy time. Buck Rogers is to COCOMALT as Captain Midnight is to OVALTINE as Major Inapak is to... well... INAPAK. It's all the same stuff, a vitamin-packed chocolate-flavored malt beverage mix. Good story though. |
