Later, when Joe is trapped in a tunnel cave-in, Paul risks his life to save him. Betty is reunited with Paul in the hospital, now realizing she loves him.

Gloria decides to throw the competition so Ralph can win, even though that means she has to go home and marry her father’s assistant. However, Ralph decides he doesn’t want to act any more. Gloria wins the contest and Julian, learning what she planned to do for Ralph, decides he loves her after all.
