NotesHow Santa Got His Red Suit (1944) is the second issue of the giveaway publication what would become (Boys and Girls') March of Comics with the next issue. Its contents, including the front and back covers, were also seen simultaneously in Santa Claus Funnies (Four Color) #61 the same year. Walt Kelly illustrated the story How Santa Got His Red Suit. All other illustrations, including covers, are by Arthur E Jameson. The empty box on the back cover where are store stamp would go was filled with the lyrics to Jingle Bells on the Four Color version.
