Bert claims his opinion of her has changed for the better. They break up but reconcile when Ginger says she’ll suppress her excessive curiosity in the future. |

Jill accepts Bill’s offer and tells Joe, but is unable to hurt Freddie’s feelings. Jill and Freddie go to the prom together and have a good time, but afterwards Jill reconciles with Bill. They agree to be "straight" with each other from now on. |

Finally Betsy proposes to him; Dave agrees to an engagement, because he still loves her. |
