Text StoryFor the Love of a Dog (2 pages)
SynopsisBobby Chandler and Cocky the Cocker Spaniel puppy make friends through the pet shop window. The owner offers Bobby a job doing grunt work to earn enough to buy Cocky, but sells the pup to a rich man instead. Cocky, in a show of his love for the boy, runs away back to Bobby, who returns him to the pet store: "Only your heart belongs to me." Cocky's owner gives Cocky to Bobby: "Whomever a dog loves most is his true master."
