It's notable that in December 1952 both the front cover and page one carry the credit "Screen Play by MARGUERITE ROBERTS and NOEL LANGLEY". Marguerite Roberts had her name removed from the on-screen credits by MGM with the permission of the Screen Writers' Guild after she was questioned by HUAC in September 1951, when the film was in post-production. She had her credit posthumously restored in 1978.
