I've noticed that for some crazy unknown reason, Avon apparently considered the inside front cover to be the most important page of art in the whole book -- including even the front cover! Well for whatever reason, all Avon comics consistently had the best-illustrated inside front (or back, for that matter) covers of any company. Most companies probably didn't even bother with any inside front or back cover artwork, they just ran ads. But with an Avon title, that inside front cover introduction to the issue always opened things with class, and I can't help being fond of them for that.
