| I've now finished reading this entire series. This edition is the last of the pre-code books. Stories and art work are pretty much up to scratch, although issue 20 is slightly better in all departments. Issues 23 & 24 were published under the Comics Code and have suffered somewhat accordingly, especially in the art. Horror is hinted but not graphically shown. Never the less even these two issues make for enjoyable reading. I thoroughly recommend this entire series. It's a pity that issue 21 isn't available at this point in time. |
