| For the Shark Brodie story, the additional info box says George Tuska with a question mark. Well, since the first panel says 'George Aksut' which is Tuska backward, I don't think there should be much doubt.

| I never cared that much for Fiction House. This is probably one of the poorest examples of golden age comics. Not one interesting feature. And no super hero. It's more like something from the UK.
But if it's just the comic strip presentation that you enjoy. I guess it's OK. But Jumbo Comics was a great beginning. And Fiction House was certainly different. They did try to be like the other company's once , I think. I recall one Super Hero. But they dropped it.
In my day we just had the movies and radio. I watched comics come into being. Never had any money for movies or comics. Got them from the garbage cans. But we did have a radio. My favorite was The Shadow. Still is. When I was old enough to work in the 1940's I finally had money to buy comics.

| Thought I’d take a look at one of these as we seem to be discussing them as a group. Like Dick, it reminded me most of a crude version of a 1960s British comic – but that’s no bad thing.
Impressed by the clean artwork on Shark Brodie – and coconut bombs too, terrific idea, I want one! (My own version of a coconut bomb is Malibu, fizzy white wine and a slice of lemon)
The art on Kayo Kirby does indeed look like Eisner. I thought there were some decent characters in this book that could be developed – Oran of the Jungle was interesting (would have been more interesting if he’d stayed in the jungle) and Terry O’Brien made a good start. Some fillers though.
